FAQ's

I want to close my Edgars Account. What must I do?
1. First cancel any Value-Added Services such as Club, Insurance products etc. that you have on your Edgars Account.
2. Please note that a proper settlement quote must be obtained in order to close your account.
Obtain a settlement quote by dialling the call centre number on 0860 111 826 and use the self-service function. Alternatively, this can be done in-store at customer services.
3. Pay the outstanding amount on the settlement quote via EFT or in-store, within five days of receiving the quote.
4. Send your closure request to [email protected]

Is there a fee for Edgars accounts that have a R0 balance?
There is no monthly service fee charged to accounts that have a R0 balance. If you have a
scenario where this was charged, please contact us so that we can review the account.

I have successfully closed my Edgars Account, but there are still fees being charged to my account?
The fees charged are because you have additional Value-Added services that were linked to your account when
you applied. These services are not managed by RCS directly and each of them must be cancelled individually.
You can cancel all additional Value-Added services such as cell phone insurance and
Edgars Club subscriptions by calling the relevant contact numbers listed.

How can I pay my Edgars Account?
You can pay your Edgars Account in any of the following ways:

1. Debit order: A payment is automatically debited from a bank account and due date that you select.
To activate, email us at [email protected] and we’ll do it for you (you will need proof of your bank details)
2. In-store (please ensure you bring your Edgars Account card with you)
3. At an ATM
4. Via EasyPay
5. Via EFT: Simply pay the required amount by using your 10-digit account number.

You have spoken and we have listened. The 6-month interest free feature will be available for purchases at Edgars stores only. There is a current delay in reinstating the 6-month interest free plan, but we are working to resolve this and will let you know as soon as this repayment plan becomes available. What is the monthly fee being charged by RCS on my Edgars Account?
The monthly service fee charged on the Edgars Account is R30. All other monthly Value-Added Services fees such as Club, Insurance etc. are not managed by RCS and RCS does not have any say in terms of the amounts charged.
