A symbol of grace and once considered the flower of the gods, the Damask rose is the essence of this oil. Originally from Persia, it is said to have been introduced into Europe by the French knight Robert I of Dreux, who fought in the Crusades in the late thirteenth century. Today, it is almost impossible to find this rose in the wild, and its cultivation and harvesting by hand are very highly prized.

Its elegant character, hypnotic personality and carnal and passionate nature are further enhanced by the elaborate process in which its velvety petals are distilled.
