Mechanical and electrical breakdown of your vehicle
- An electrical and/or mechanical breakdown consists of damage to or caused by: engine gearbox overheating, wheel bearings, CV joints, fan belts, starters/alternators, battery, lights or immobiliser;
- The case manager may at their discretion arrange for a towing service to tow your vehicle to the most appropriate place of repair or safekeeping;
- An additional tow can also be arranged in the event of the service provider's premises not being open at the time of the incident.
Jump-starting a flat battery
- You may use the flat battery restart service if your vehicle is immobilised due to a faulty battery, and not due to neglect on your part;
- Cover is limited to reasonable services to start the vehicle;
- The service excludes all parts, components, lubricants or other similar charges;
- Your vehicle may be towed to the nearest place of safekeeping or battery replacement centre should it not be possible to jump-start a particular vehicle make and model;
- The service is also provided at non-roadside locations, at the discretion of the case manager.
Changing a flat tyre
- Assistance can be provided at non-roadside locations, at the discretion of the case manager. This excludes any costs for the repair or replacement of any tyre, parts, wheel balancing or similar charges;
- If there is no spare tyre and/or tyre changing equipment in the vehicle, a tow-in can be arranged at your own cost.
Running out of fuel
- 10 litres of fuel will be supplied if you run out of fuel, limited to one incident per annum.
Keys locked in the car or broken in the door or ignition

- You lock your keys in the car. Cover is limited to reasonable services to open the vehicle and excludes all parts, components, keys or key cutting costs or other similar charges;
- Keys broken off in the door or ignition. If the service provider can't resolve the problem at the location, the cost of any additional assistance such as tow-in costs, will be for your own account.
- If your vehicle operates with a 'smart key', a service provider will tow you to the most appropriate dealer, and provide cover up to a maximum of R500.
